The 2nd Annual Bay Area International Children's Film Festival (BAICFF) kicked off at 11:00 am on January 23, 2010 in Alameda, CA (directions) with a full line of high-quality family-friendly films from around the world. The expanded two-day festival provided an opportunity for families to come together to celebrate the art, culture and diversity that are fundamental to the Bay Area.

The program showcased academy award nominated films and filmmakers and offered something for every child's imagination: eye-popping animation, amazing documentaries, stories that tackle important issues from a kids-eye view, and unique opportunities to chat with filmmakers.

Program highlights included Lost and Found (UK) by Phillip Hunt; Leonardo (USA) by Jim Capobianco; Mutt (Australia) by Glen Hunwick; Racing Dreams (USA) by Marshall Curry; The Secret of Kells (Ireland) by Tomm Moore; New Boy (Ireland) by

Steph Green; The Danish Poet (Canada/Norway) by Torill Kove and many more.
